About Me

Welcome! I am a visiting assistant teaching professor in the Economics Department at Florida International University.

I am on the 2025-2026 job market.

I am an applied microeconomist. My research focuses on development economics with a particular interest in policy evaluation, education and inequality.

My job market paper examines the effect of losing a cash transfer on educational and labor outcomes, as well as its impact on the division of labor in Ecuador. I am also studying the effect of receiving unconditional cash transfers on migration and family formation and the effect of elderly pensions on human capital.

As a teaching professor, I have taught Principles of Microeconomics and Macroeconomics. In Fall 2025 and Spring 2026, I will teach Intermediate Microeconomics and Macroeonomics and Measurement and Analysis in Economics.
